Happy Mama

How could today not be a happy day?? I am a Mother, my lifelong dream and purpose has come true and I was able to celebrate it's official day. My baby is almost a year old, and the past eleven months have been the most fulfilling months of my life and then some.

My Mom sums it up so well when she tells me that having me "was the best thing she ever did and the hardest thing she ever did" but as we agreed, most good things take much work otherwise they wouldn't be so cherished.

Adam asked me what I wanted to do today, and I said "go to breakfast" I love going to breakfast as much as I love holidays and dark chocolate brownies.

And it was so lovely...

i woke up to find a special princess card just for me from Daddy and Bayley (she picked it out)

i opened the door and found flowers and streamers from the mothers day fairy

we went to big kitchen and had lots and lots too eat and too much coffee...

then we went for a walk around the funky, has lot's of character neighborhood.

Bayley and I went to visit my Mom and Grandma while Dad started dinner.....mmmmmm

There are 2 week old kittens in my Grandma's backyard.....awwwwww

we came home and ate steak, baked potatoes, and cuc/tomato salad and sugar cookies that Auntie Sarah made.
A grand Mothers Day
and I am more exhasted than ever.....
as my Mom would say "it's hard work having fun"

so I will leave you with a note to my Mom and lots of pics of my girl (doesn't she look like a big girl in the last two pictures??)

Happy Mothers Day Mom!!!! I love you so much and I appreciate everything you do even more this Mothers Day, because this Mom thing is not easy, it's wonderful, but it's oh so challenging. Thank you for teaching me everything I know and for giving me all the tools to be a loving and compassionate Mom - like you.
