hello snow!!! okay, so i should be finishing packing right now, but i like to wait til the last minute to make things exciting!! we will be leaving for michigan tomorrow to go see lots of family!! next post-michigan pictures!! ready or not, here we come!!!

Yesterday...

my mom, dad and auntie sarah came over and we had a wonderful dinner. Bayley got to eat some organic carrot puree for the first time and kinda liked it. she's so cute....

Happy 6 months Bayley!!!

Bayley, I can't believe how fast these last 6 months have gone by. It was hard in the beginning, but we made it through it and the rest has been the most fun I've ever had!! It has been pure joy being your Mommy and watching you grow and learn so much. I can't wait for the next 6 months!!! You are such a sweet, smart, beautiful little baby girl. We are so lucky to have you, you are so loved. Here are some things you are doing.

well maybe not quite yet.....she's starting with some organic rice cereal. Bayley tried her first food (other than mom's milk) on December 2nd. She ate some rice cereal which she loves, and some bananas which she didn't prefer. She loves squash and liked carrots.

Could she get any cuter???

just when i think she can't get any cuter, she wakes up and i think she's a little bit cuter than when i put her to sleep. i am such a lucky mommy to have the sweetest little baby girl. i can't believe she is mine, she is everything i have ever wanted and more!!!! i love you Bayley

I can't believe you're almost 6 months!!!! Bayley you're growing up too fast, slow down okay?? I love you so much Bayley, you are the sweetest, cutest, smartest, best baby in the whole wide world, keep on smiling!! love, mommy

sad but grateful

yesterday a navy fighter jet crashed into a house about 2 miles from where my mom and grandma live. 3 people were killed (a mom, gramdma, and baby). I am so sad for the people who died but am so grateful that my family is okay. that is just too close for comfort. it really puts into perspective how precious every moment we have is and how grateful i am for every day good or bad. that family woke up with the same intentions most of us have i'm sure. hopefully we can all learn from such a sad story and live in the moment and not take any minute for granted.

Bayley's 6 month check up

yesterday we took bayley to dr. sears for her 6 month check up. she is doing great and weighs 14lbs 6oz and is 25 inches long. she got one shot and didn't like that at all, she actually looked at the shot sitting on the counter and started to cry, she's so smart-she remembered!!! she was such a good baby though and calmed down right away. we went and got dinner in san clemente and walked around the little town, it was a really nice night. good job bayley, we love you so much!!
